Former members of the Retirement and Survivor’s Pensions Scheme whose memberships in that scheme have been cancelled before 01/01/2007
  
     
  Former members of the Retirement and Survivor’s Pensions Scheme whose memberships in that scheme have been cancelled before 01/01/2007, but still have pensionable service time therein, may apply for the conversion of their pensionable service time, through the public service departments, upon joining the Provident Fund Scheme.  
     
  Application procedure and documents required  
  The applicant shall submit the written form (Model no.RP-3) provided by the Pension Fund, through the public service department that is responsible for his/her payroll.  
     
  The form can be obtained from the respective department, or downloaded from the Forms Download.  
     
  Application period  
 
  • Upon joining the Provident Fund Scheme, if the applicant already meets the conditions for re-enrollment in the Retirement and Survivor’s Pensions Scheme prescribed in the general law applicable to the workers of the Public Administration, he/she can at the same time apply for the conversion of the past pensionable time into:
    1) Contribution time under the Provident Fund Scheme and contribution time for the calculation of the contribution time premium;
    2) Transfer value.
  • If the applicant does not meet the conditions above-mentioned upon joining the Provident Fund Scheme, he/she can only apply for the preceding item no. 1), and can only apply for the preceding item no. 2) until the time he/she meets the required conditions.
  
     
  Time needed  
 
1)  The application for the conversion of the past pensionable service time will be completed within 10 working days counted from the following day after submission of all necessary documents, if transfer value is not involved;
2)  The application will be completed within 13 working days counted from the following day after submission of all necessary documents, if transfer value is involved.
Remarks:  The transfer value will be applied within 4 working days counted from the 20th day of the following month after receipt of the necessary documents.
